Redbeacon Found Me the Best Carpenter for the Project

“I was looking for someone that had true carpentry experience - someone with the proper skills who wouldn't destroy the piece of furniture. Redbeacon helped me find that person and understand market rates for my project so I knew I was not going to overpay.”
- Redbeacon customer, Anthony T
My challenge - I’m a handy guy around the house, but this job was beyond my capabilities. We had a finished piece of furniture that did not fit the space so we needed to shorten it and rebuild the wood trim. So basically take it apart, cut it down to size, reattach the outside trim, and then stain it to match the original. The piece was nice but nothing exotic so it was important to get it done right but at the same time I did not want to overspend my budget.
Redbeacon - Provided me with about 5 quotes. It was super fast, it only took a few hours and I had my price quotes. In my case, 4 out of 5 quotes came from general handymen that probably could have done the job. But the one that attracted my attention was from a small furniture maker who I knew I could trust with my job. Redbeacon helped me find the specific skill I was looking for at a price that was competitive from a provider I felt I could trust.
Whatever you need done - The project went smoother than I expected. The furniture maker took the piece to his shop so he could use all his tools to make the cuts and get the proper match on the stain. He was very accommodating and I would recommend him highly. Within several days I had the desk back in the house. He did such a good job you can’t even tell that the desk has been modified.
