Don with RDS rocks. I will call him next time I need a plumber, no questions asked. Our house was built in the late 40s and has most of the original fittings and pipes. When our bathtub began leaking, I used redbeacon.com to get bids. Of the three bids I received, all said that they'd need to see the fittings, but two said I'd likely need to replace everything. Don was the only one who thought we could fix the issue, specifically citing his success IDing and sourcing parts for older plumbing. Just as he'd guessed, Don identified the valve, ran out to source two new ones, and had the tub working perfectly within 90 minutes of showing up at my door. Like I said. Don rocks. Knowledgeable and honest, and a nice guy to boot.

Don came onsite to inspect the shower. He realized that the water pressure was way to high, then checked it with a tester at the front of the house. He then said it was 100+psi, which is 40-50% higher than regular pressure. He advised to call the city and get a regulator/ ask them why it's so high. He estimated $750 to install the regulator, but also told me to try to get it for free from the city since it's overlooked. He provided me with a diverter for the shower and replaced my old one for $15. He charged for an hour but I had a $100 amazon deal that I bought for $30, so I paid him $75. He was pleasant to work with, even called me after he left to ensure I tell the city that he closed the valve about halfway in order to lower the water pressure.
