Price: $149 + tip (had Groupon, $25 for $50)
Overall: Good job on the kitchen, living room, and bathrooms but disappointed they did not get to the bedrooms at all and had to be asked to request the bathroom floor to be vacuumed/mopped.
Details: This was the first time I've used a house cleaner because our place is pretty small. Having bought a Groupon I thought it was worth a try. The gentlemen who set up my appointment told me that usually the appointments are about 2 hrs but they will finish the job before they leave even if it takes a little longer. 2 people arrived at my house a little bit late (but no problem) and I gave them a tour of the condo asking them to focus on the kitchen, bathrooms, and mopping the floors but stated I would love to have the bedrooms vacuumed if they have time. I emptied a lazy susan in the kitchen and asked if they could wipe it down and they forgot to do that. I was working from home and sat on my deck because the fumes from the cleaning solution was so strong. I feel bad that these two people have to smell these fumes all the time. Again, this is my first time hiring a cleaner so not sure how much housecleaners normally get through in 2 hours with 2 people. At the 2 hour mark, the cleaners were getting ready to leave when I noticed the bedrooms were not touched and the main bathroom upstairs had not been swept/vacuumed nor the floor mopped (the floor is about 2'x8' long). When I asked if they could mop the bathroom before they leave, there was some hesitation but they seemed to have run the mop across once or twice. I have hardwood floors in the kitchen and living room, and though they are mopped clean there was a lot of debris that I had to sweep up since I'm not sure if they swept or vacuumed before they mopped. I really worked hard to move everything off the floor to make it easier for them to clean. However, I felt the cost was pretty high for not having the entire house cleaned.

Started off great. Mouse called me back set an appointment. He showed up with 2 other workers. They cleaned the upstairs unit (refigerator, stove, counters and windows). Then I hear a loud sound, like glass breaking, I went upstairs and did not see anything and nothing was said. I left went back to my office downstairs and I hear another loud sound, I go up there and see if everything is okay. They say it's fine, I look in the driveway and there is broken glass. His worker broke 2 window panes.
They were done and wanted to get paid. I asked Mouse about the broken windows and he said he did not know what I was talking about. I showed him the missing window panes , he asked his worker who said he broke one. Mouse agreed to pay for it .
I was left with 2 broken windows. I had to cover it up until i could get my contractor over. It took a few weeks but I finally called Mouse with the total. He said he would send a check. Three weeks later ....NO CHECK.
I did not want to write a bad review so I waited before writing this...hoping that Mouse would take care of things. He has not done anything and Red Beacon is going to pay for the windows.
Would not rehire!!! They were going to leave without telling me about the broken windows. How can you trust them?

Everything started off well, Mause contacted me promptly and arranged to come clean our apartment on the day I had requested. He and his partner arrived on time and got to work. I ran a few errands while they were cleaning and they finished up in exactly two hours like they said they would. Overall they did a good job deep cleaning the areas I hate to clean: the oven, the bathroom, dusty ledges. I did a walkthrough with Mause and gave it all the ok.
Unfortunately, several hours later I noticed that a piece of antique furniture that I bought the previous day was missing a glass shelf. I looked around, couldn't find it. I called Mause and asked if had possibly been misplaced or accidentally broken while they were cleaning. He said he didn't think so but he would ask his partner. He called back and said that neither of them knew anything about it, nothing had been broken. Upon closer inspection I noticed shards of glass on the remaining shelves and then a few days later discovered the pieces of the broken shelf which had been thrown inside a storage ottoman. When I told Mause this, he did offer to pay for it, which I appreciate. Accidents happen, I understand, but hiding it? That made me feel like I couldn't trust them in my home, so I won't be hiring M&J again.

Mouse and his crew were great. They quoted me $135 and I had a $50 group-on so ended up paying $120 total. They moved a ton of furniture and boxes into my storage room which was a great help. Then in addition to the 2 bedrooms, 1 living room and 1 bathroom I had been quoted for, they cleaned the kitchen and vacuumed and mopped the whole house, not just my upstairs. The 2 couches were covered in cat hair and Mouse (the owner) lint-rolled everything off, even underneath the seat cushions. They don't make beds or fold clothes and will just vacuum around boxes, etc left on the floor. But all in all great service & friendly staff.

The crew was very nice. 3 showed instead of the promised 2. They cleaned for the time allocated divided by 3 people. They showed up early which I appreciated. I think they did OK for the first time and I will try them again to provide them another opportunity.
Bathroom was done twice as the first time was not to my expectations. Floors throughout were not cleaned and corner cobwebs were missed. Nothing was put back as it was originally which required that I take the time to put it back.
***Mousy took the time to clean my stove fan very very thoroughly and they swept my front entry without being asked. Both were appreciated very much.
More experience and thoroughness is needed by the younger staff members.
This was NOT the deep cleaning they stated would be done for the $40 per hour charged. However, my house is cleaner than it was prior to them coming.
I will provide a 2nd chance to be sure they can clean as promised!

very good job. maybe 5 minutes late, not a big deal. very thorough, only had a couple areas to do some spot checking on after i did the walk through (an empty apartment, so a lot of ground for them to cover). Missed some cobwebs, the floor of 1 closet, and a few drawers. did fast work, with the 2 of them cleaning a 2br 1ba in about an hour and a half. Great price, good value, good job. would use again.

Mouse and his brother are really nice and friendly people. Both of them together took 3.5 hours to clean my 2-bedroom, 2 bath condo. My bathroom is back to looking brand new and my hardwood floor is super polished and doesn't have a single piece of hair on it. My kitchen is spotless and they even vacuumed my sofa. We ended up paying slightly more than what had been quoted although consistent with the hourly rate quoted because the job turned out to be more involved than anticipated and we required assistance with additional tasks not identified in our request for bids. We will call on them again in the future.

Mouse and Heidi from M&J did a fantastic job of cleaning our house. I have employed other house cleaners in the past and M&J is at the top of my list. I have arranged a bi-weekly schedule for them to continue and I look forward to doing business with M & J for years to come. Mouse and Heidi showed up at my house at the scheduled time and the two of them spent a good 3-4 hours on the initial deep clean. All of the surfaces were sparkling clean, the tubs and showers and bathrooms were spotless and sanitized, my 3 girl's rooms cleaned, picked up and tidied (A monumental task mind you), the front porch was swept and cleaned and the house dusted. As I said I have employed other house cleaners and M & J's work is a notch above the rest.

M&J Housecleaning is a dream come true. I've been looking a while for the perfect housekeeper; someone who is attentive, flexible, knowledgeable, and hard working. That is what I got with M&J. M&J arrived not only on-time, but early! They walked the house with me, and addressed what needed to be done.
I wasn't sure exactly who would be cleaning - so I was extremely pleased that Mouse (the owner) came in and immediately started. He was on his hands and knees for most of the time cleaning places that I didn't know could be cleaned. They were here for several hours and touched absolutely everything. What was great was that Mouse and his helper (Heidi who is phenomenal!) didn't have to ask for direction, they just knew what needed to be done and did it. They went well beyond my expectations.
On top of it all, price was not a problem, M&J's rates are extremely reasonable and he is willing to work with almost any budget. Mouse will be coming back for monthly visits with a clear understanding of what needs to be done.
I can't believe I waited this long to get cleaning help. It's so much easier to maintain a clean house than to even start thinking about cleaning an house that's gotten out of hand. M&J rocks and I am really looking forward to future visits - Thanks Mouse!!

Another great job by Mouse and his helper. I hired Mouse 2 months ago for a deep cleaning after our apartment had fallen into a dog hair infested trash zone. Fast forward two months and the dog hair was mostly gone but our new cat friend was leaving his stench around the house and our apartment had accumulated 3 bachelors worth of neglect. I hired Mouse again and again, I am at peace when I return home to a spotless apartment. I had the pleasure of meeting Mouse in person this time and his genuine warmth is only outdone by his hard work. My roommates and I have scheduled Mouse on a monthly basis and I'll look forward to the next time he comes to clean up our mess!

Cons: Showed up almost an hour late with no warning, used a non-food-safe cleaning spray on a wood cutting board.

Mouse is a savior! My apartment had not been professionally cleaned for over 2 years. Sure, my roommates girlfriend kept the place relatively tidy, but never spotless. Especially not with the amount of dog fur my roommate's Corgi shed all over the place. Never fear. A visit from Mouse and his crew took care of everything. I came home to a sparkling clean apartment and even more importantly, there was no trace of dog hair whatsoever!
