Chris Nichols showed up on time and was very professional. Other companies wanted to charge me for extra service which I did not want, yet they said it was part of the "package." Chris diagnosed my issue with both fireplaces and fixed both within an hour. He was candid and said our basement fireplace would eventually need replacement yet he left this decision up to me...instead of trying to "upsell" me on the spot. Without hesitation, I would use Michael's for any plumbing issues.

We were very satisfied with Michael's plumbing. There was a glitch on the Red Beacon side that caused them to no show the quote appointment - not their fault; a Red Beacon rep called me to inquire as to status and when I told them Michael's was coming to give a quote they sent out an "appointment" but mistakenly included the original appt time I'd requested for the work to actually occur, as opposed to the time the quote appt was actually scheduled for. Michael's therefore thought I had rescheduled when they got the Red Beacon notice. I only mention as an FYI to Red Beacon to avoid this in the future as it was definitely not Michael's plumbing's fault. In fact, Katrina at Michael's was great about working with us to resolve the issue, even through they did not create it, and they quoted based on photos instead of onsite visit as we could not schedule another quote window. The timing was critical to us as we had granite install on a thursday and HAD to have that sink and cooktop hooked up on Friday. They arrived on time, completed the work and their price was at the bottom end of their quote range. We would certainly use them again!

I was very pleased with the professionalism of Chris from Michael's Plumbing. I recommend him completely. He was on time and had a professional demeanor. He did not jump to conclusions on my leak, but took time to fully evaluate my mystery leak. When he found the leak he had to order a part and was willing to come back the next day to install it, however, I requested that he wait for a few days due to my work. He returned on the agreed day/time and completed the job. I will definitely use Michael's again, if needed.

I had a stopped up toilet at a rental property. My first priority was that the plumber understand I am the customer and not the tenant but yet they act with respect and courtesy to the tenant while all decisions go through me. They arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem, consulted with me on the options and then replaced the toilet which was causing the problem. Amber in the office was fantastic and communicative. They are forever on speed dial for my plumbing needs.

I had plumbed out the gas myself, but could not hold the pressure (loosing 2ps/hr). I finally gave up and hired a plumber, and Michael and his son (Mike) showed up exactly on time and did a serious, in-depth inspection. This team works together very well, left my home the way it was when they came (without leaks, though), and were very good at explaining things to me (why the checks failed, etc.). My work, obviously, was sub-par, as they found several leaks (ones I could not find, even with soap/water solution), reseated all of my connections that needed it, then left the guage on to finish the work. Our inspection will occur in a few hours, and I am confident we will pass, as the pressure is now holding just fine.
Having to deal with customer installed equipment, and all that comes along with that, they did not once complain, and in fact, found ways to let me know what I did do right. lol
Great team, great work, great responsibility (ownership of work done). I've asked them to quote me out two more jobs (and this time, I WON'T do prework myself! :) )

THE GUYS DID A GREAT JOB. THEY WERE VERY QUICK TO RESPOND. I HAD FOUR PLUMBING COMPANIES TO RESPOND TO MY REQUEST. I ENDED UP WITH QUOTES THAT WERE VERY DIFFRENT. MICHAELS DID NOT GIVE ME A BLIND QUOTE. THEY TOOK THE TIME TO COME TO MY HOME AND LOOK AT THE JOB FIRST. THEY ENDED UP BEING THE LEAST EXPENSIVE.
WHEN THEY STARTED MOVING THE WATER LINE THEY EASILY ACCESSED THE LINES WITH OUT DOING MUCH SHEETROCK DAMAGE. THEY QUICKLY FIXED THE LINE AND POINTED OUT TO MY HUSBAND OTHER POSSIBLE ISSUES, BUT TOLD HIM HOW HE COULD FIX IT HIMSELF. THAT MEANS A LOT. MEANS ENOUGH THAT THEY WILL GET MY NEXT PLUMBING JOB!!

Chris arrived and checked out the problem. He gave us a quote and he had the parts on his truck. He fixed our shower by installing a new PricePhister control valve. Love this company! We had a mystery leak between the floors and it only leaked while the kitchen sink was on. Chris came out and was at my door 25 min after I found them through redbeacon and came up with a gameplan. The owner, Michael and Mike came out two days later and took out the back of my kitchen cabinet to gain access to the pipe. There were holes in the pipe itself due to...drumroll...a rat INSIDE the pipe trying to chew his way out! Michael completely fixed, rerouted and even replaced worn pipe pieces non-related to the leak itself. They are amazing! They will give you options, let you know what they think is the best and right way to complete the job and let you decide. I really appreciated their candidness and sincerity. Will definitely be calling them back soon for a disposal and faucet replacement and any other plumbing related need. You will not be disappointed, these guys ROCK!

As a senior citizen, I need all the help I can get! Shortly after I moved into my new house, I had a toilet that backed up. I called a local plumber who came out to snake the toilet. He could not get it unclogged. He said they would have to dig up the line to see if they could find the clog. I asked them to hold of as I was going out of town. When I returned, I decided to try another plumber – just for a second opinion. That was my first experience with Michael’s Plumbing Service. Michael was the one that came to the house (I had explained to him the situation and I just wanted a second opinion). He took one look at the situation, said that a motorized snake was what was needed. He carefully explained how the system worked, why he thought the manual snake did not work and why the motorized snake was best. Never once did he criticize the other plumbing company or their techniques – just explained how his Company worked. I took a chance and he had me “flushing” away my fears!
When my hot water heater would not put out hot water, I called Michael’s Plumbing Service once again, thinking I needed a new hot water heater. The Technician in the office said they would come look at it, gave me a diagnosis, and if I needed a new water heater, would give me a written estimate. When the technician showed up (right on time, I may add) he checked out the water heater and determined it was a bad cal rod unit. He replaced it and it has been working great. This was 2 years ago.
Last fall I decided to replace my dishwasher. Again I called Michael’s plumbing Service. They picked up my dishwasher at the store (as I had no way of getting it myself and the store was going to charge me to deliver), put it in and took the old one away. And this time he was running ahead of schedule and called me to see if it would be convenient for him to come early, or he would be glad to come at the appointed time – whatever was best for me. Of course, I chose early!
The office personal and technicians I dealt with at Michael’s plumbing Service has always been polite, professional and most helpful. I have called their office several time just to ask questions (is it normal for ice makers to make a grinding sound, being on a septic tank, would I be able to get a garbage disposal) and the technician has always been polite, patient, knowledgeable, but most of all lots of simple details in their explanation.
They are very careful not to track dirt/mud into the house, clean up after themselves and careful where they put their tools as not to scratch or damage any surfaces. I do not hesitate recommending Michael’s Plumbing Service and will definitely use them again if the occasion arises.
