David Lomax's RedBeacon quote was far, far below anyone else for a simple handyman job (installing a mailslot into our wooden garage door,) and as such I was even more blown away by the quality of the experience. David worked hard to accommodate our schedule, did the job well and efficiently, and was extremely pleasant and professional company. I'd definitely hire him again -- in fact, I've already made plans to!

David Lomax was quick to respond to our request. He seemed knowledgeable about what needed to be done to repair the shower controls, and completed the work in good time. Dealing with Mr. Lomax was pleasant. We would recommend him.

David was a pleasure to work with. He initially called me to get the information he needed, so that he was ready to start working when he arrived. He did an excellent job replacing the water valves and redoing the duct work for the dryer. He was neat and extremely helpful. All work was completed within the same day. I plan on using David again, should I have additional work that I would like done.

He was very meticulous in mounting the unit and did countless adjustments to ensure that it operates smoothly and reliably. Sink regrout, fixed locks on two gates, replaned back door and glued cabinet back. Very good work, a perfectionist of sorts, took lots of time to do it right, was clean, and great energy.

In addition to replacing the dryver vent, he replaced bulbs in garage and bathroom, vacuumed heater, put tape over heater filter. He was very helpful & did a great job of cleaning up after himself (other contractors have left me big messes!). the only negative i can comment on is that he had bad time management, but other than that, he is great!

David installed a roof top antenna and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was correct.

Installed grab bars efficiently and neatly.

I am very pleased with the David's work. He is very committed to his customers. David installed an under counter sink and faucet. The project was complex and detailed. David is the guy I will call the next time I want work performed at my house.

David Lomax worked out very well. His job was to repair and 8 foot span of fence between my neighbor's house and mine. He saw other work in my yard that needed fixing as far as wood repair and offered to fix that too. It took a long time to do the job but I feel he spent the time needed to do a thorough job. He charged me for the labor, parts and I tipped him a small amount on top of that. Thanks for getting back to me and I would definitely hire him. a again.

David arrived early than the appointment time scheduled. He did a great job and also handle another task for me; that is why the increase in price.

Nice guy, knowledgeable, but consistently showed up late and asked many questions about the job even after the project was thoroughly explained. Job took longer than expected as well.

Redbeacon had the worong contact number for David Lomax. Thank God he called me as requested. He also follow up with me as when he left his call back number the last 2 numbers faded out as he was on a cell. Once the appointment was set he was late but did contact me and did show he did a nice job and did follow up the next day. I would be willing to give him another try. He said he will correct his contact information.

He charged me more than his quote,because he had to take part of the chair out to get it welded. I did not see any visible evidence of welding but my chair and drawer is fixed. He did not have any receipts with him ,so he promised to e-mail my receipt including a receipt for welding. I am waiting for it. As soon as I receive a proper receipt, I will be a happy customer. He arrived several hours late, but was very friendly and knowledgable. Successfully installed gas dryer.

I had a somewhat complicated plumbing and drywall issue. David came to the site to diagnose the problem and was receptive to my concerns. Unlike a previous handyman, he was able to find the root cause of the problem and propose a fix. Although it took slightly longer than initially estimated, he got the job done and paid careful attention to getting things right. I'm happy with the results and would recommend him for your handyman needs.

David did a great job! He went above and beyond the call of duty, going into the crawl space and found a major problem with the dryer vent duct work. He rebuilt the 90 degree elbow, which was done incorrectly by someone prior, causing a huge blockage of lint. It's a wonder we didn't have a fire. David also went beyond the original quote and helped clean our air conditioning unit, which sits at the dryer duct vent. What a mess. David did a great job all around and we would hire him again. His price is fair and he works hard for his money.

He responded to calls promptly and arrived right at the agreed upon time. He completed the work exactly as we had discussed. And, he cleaned up after his work and went above and beyond by cleaning up the work of previous contractors who had not been so good about cleaning up!
