I selected Mr. Rooter on 1/7 and received an email that i would be contacted within 24 hours. A week later I was contacted on 1/15 and an appointment was scheduled for 1/16 between 4-7pm. I left work early to meet the plumber and received a confirmation call around 4pm. At 7:05 I received a call that they were unable to keep the appointment and wanted to re-schedule. Very unacceptable.

After my plumber (Chuck) left, I discovered that he had made a $27 error on my invoice in favor of his employer. (The total should have been $269, but I was charged $296.) I called the Mr. Plumber office and explained that I had found an error. Instead of assuring me that I would be credited $27 on my VISA card, I was advised to call the plumber. This is clearly a bad business practice. However, I called the plumber who told me that the error would be taken care of. I just checked my VISA account online and no credit appears although it has been several days since my work was completed.

Mr. Rooter came out and gave me an estimate. It was a good estimate, however the overall cost was more than what I could purchase an electric dryer for. It was not practical for me to have the work done based on what the cost would be. That was not related to Mr Rooter but where they would have to tie into the gas line. The cost was $29.95 for travel and $20 for the evaluation. While he was there he also checked all of the plumbing and water pressure to make sure we were good. I would definately use them again.
